Be willing to notice where people of faith hold wisdom. Take what is useful and let it guide you.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 87

I don’t pretend to have all the answers in spiritual matters—just as I don’t have all the answers about alcoholism. Many others are walking their own spiritual paths, and when I remain open to what they share, I gain insight and strength. My sobriety grows richer, and my practice of the Eleventh Step becomes more meaningful, when I draw from the traditions of my own faith and also learn from the wisdom found in other religions and spiritual practices. In this way, I receive support from many directions, helping me stay free from that first drink.
