THY WILL, NOT MINE

November 20

…when I bring my requests to God, it helps to add a simple reminder: “…if it be Thy will.”

TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 102

Each morning, I ask that God guide me toward the clearest understanding of His will for that day, and grant me the strength and grace to follow it. As challenges arise and choices must be made, I can pause, breathe, and renew the request: “Thy will, not mine, be done.”

I remind myself that my role is to make the effort, while the outcome rests in God’s hands. By practicing humility and repeating this prayer, I can truly “Let Go and Let God.” With patience and steady persistence, I find freedom from the weight of selfish expectations, and discover peace in trusting His plan.
